With its mews streets, village feel and eclectic shops, Stockbridge is one of our favourite parts of Edinburgh. Last week we went exploring with Sarah & Nick, who celebrate their wedding at the George Hotel in March. Sarah was smart enough to wear wellies. We weren’t.

Our final shoot of 2011 was with the very lovely Laurel & Robbie, who are getting married at the Balmoral Hotel this March. It was a pretty chilly morning, and we finished up with a mug of delicious hot Firepunch (literally feeling the Christmas spirit!).

The eagle-eyed among you may recognise Claire – she graced the pages of our blog a couple of weeks ago, when she was a bridesmaid. This time we caught up with Claire & Neil for their pre-wedding shoot. And while we did have to dodge quite a lot of rain along the way, we were rewarded with an amazing sunset at the end.

We love it when our couples introduce us to new photoshoot locations, and that’s what happened when we caught up with Amy & Roger the other night. This place is very special to them, and it was great hearing stories of childhood sledging, pre-exam runs and family walks.

We managed to dodge the rainclouds during our pre-wed shoot in the Old Town with Caroline & Steven, before finally having to take cover in an underpass. Along the way there was lots of great chat and even a little bit of dancing (we’re saving that photo just for you guys!). Good times!
