2012 wedding highlights – the party!

From the hilarity of the speeches to the big shapes being thrown on the dancefloor, we love getting in about the action and capturing the atmosphere and energy. It’s been tough to choose, but here are some of our favourite party shots from last year’s weddings.

2012 wedding highlights – Photo time!

One of our favourite parts of the wedding day is the photo session, where we get to take a bit of time-out with our bride and groom (and their wedding teams!).
Where possible, we tend to do a short shoot with our couple during their drinks reception, and then another mini-shoot after dinner, while their band is setting up. That way we get to maximise the changing lighting conditions, and create lots of romantic and dramatic photos. And they get to spend more time catching up with their guests. It’s a win-win!

2012 wedding highlights – going to the chapel

We had planned to publish this full series earlier in the year, but got a little sidetracked. Now that we’re starting to get the hang of this new parent thing (or at least a little better at pretending to know what we’re doing!), we thought we’d return to our highlights of 2012.

Last year we photographed beautiful ceremonies in tiny chapels and grand cathedrals, in the shade of a redwood grove, a converted cowshed and a former stable. We captured first kisses in ancient castles and promises being spoken in stylish boutique hotels.

It was a fantastic year and we were honoured to be part of these incredibly special big days.

Sorry we’ve been a little quiet lately…

Wow – where did February go? Our baby girl, Mila is now a month old, occasionally sleeps a little at night and is getting even cuter by the day.

Thank you so much for all your lovely messages, cards and gifts, and for your patience & understanding while we have been getting caught up on things.

We’ll be resuming our 2012 Wedding Highlights series, which was sidetracked by Mila’s very early arrival, soon.
