Simone & Malcolm’s wedding at The Signet Library, Edinburgh

If you’ve been following our blog then you may recognise Simone & Malcolm – they were bridesmaid and best man at the last wedding we featured here, so we got to hang out with them in the run up to their big day too! Both couples travelled from California to be married in the brilliantly titled Collins Family Wedding Extravaganza (the grooms are brothers), and we were there to capture all the celebrations!

Simone & Malcolm’s wedding was held at the incredibly beautiful Signet Library in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, and their intimate ceremony was given by a close friend. It was a super stylish day, full of their favourite things – with nods to their love of corgis, macarons and movie nights along the way! The day ended with a very energetic ceilidh (and it was so great to see all the guests really going for it on the dancefloor!) and a rousing rendition of Auld Lang Syne. And, as an added bonus, we got to hit the streets for some romantic portraits after the sun had gone down too.

Simone & Malcolm – We have loved getting to know you both and really enjoyed capturing all the fleeting moments, laughter and heartfelt love on your wedding day. You’re two wonderful individuals, not to mention a fantastic couple, and we look forward to hearing all about your future adventures as husband and wife!

We’ve kept you in suspense long enough, enjoy these highlights of your wedding day…

Love them! Thanks for beautifully preserving the precious memories of that day!

Brittany & Miles’ wedding at St Salvator’s Chapel, St Andrews & Glamis Castle, Angus

We absolutely love photographing destination weddings – getting to see Scotland through the eyes of first-time visitors is a magical experience, and it makes us feel so lucky to live and work in this beautiful part of the world!

California-based Brittany and Miles wanted to share a place that stole their hearts – the historic town of St Andrews – with their family and friends, and were married in the breathtaking setting of St Salvator’s Chapel. The ceremony was all the more meaningful as it was conducted by Brittany’s great-uncle.

Then it was on to Glamis Castle in Angus, which is not only an incredibly romantic place but is rich in history. It’s also said to be the most haunted castle in Scotland, but while the mist was suitably atmospheric we didn’t spot any spooks! The day ended in fitting Fourth of July style, with a sparkler send off for the newlyweds.

Brittany & Miles – You were a joy to photograph and we absolutely loved getting to be part of your beautiful Scottish wedding. And getting to see you both again over the next few days of your family’s Scottish wedding festival was an added bonus too! We hope you enjoy your preview…

Magical!

Fiona & Mark’s wedding at St Margaret’s Chapel, Edinburgh Castle & Prestonfield House, Edinburgh

Fiona & Mark were married in a charming intimate ceremony in the oldest building in Edinburgh – St Margaret’s Chapel, which was built at Edinburgh Castle in the early 12th century. And while the castle was absolutely packed with tourists on this sunny summer’s day, the minute the chapel door closed and the ceremony began, all was beautifully calm.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds took a little road trip on The Red Bus, with the city’s iconic landmarks quickly turning into rugged landscapes, and treated their guests to an outdoor drinks reception in one of Edinburgh’s most scenic spots. And then it was on to Prestonfield House for an evening of fantastic food, cocktails and a little fun casino action. It was a wonderful day full of family and fun, style and charm, and with true love at the core.

Fiona & Mark – We absolutely loved being part of your wedding and were made to feel so welcome by your very lovely family and friends. We hope you enjoy these highlights of your day…

Claire & Kimberley’s wedding at Archerfield House, East Lothian

Claire & Kimberley, who live in Australia, returned to their Scottish roots to be married in a wonderful celebration that was full of love and laughter, happy tears and beautiful smiles, seriously cute little people and some of the best dancefloor action we have seen on our wedding travels.

This was our first time photographing a wedding at Archerfield House and we are more than a little in love with this place now! As always, it was brilliant to work with Yvonne at Sixpence Weddings, who helped plan the day perfectly, and alongside a fantastic team of suppliers.

Claire & Kimberley – We wish you and your gorgeous wee boys all the love and happiness in the world. It was an absolute joy to be part of your wedding, and we hope you enjoy your preview!

Brilliant photography!

Caroline & Patrick’s wedding at St Mary’s RC Cathedral & The Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh

We loved Caroline & Patrick’s laidback approach to planning their wedding – when we first met, they had yet to step inside their ceremony venue, which just happens to be one of the most impressive cathedrals in Edinburgh! Their wedding day was full of love and laughter, Irish craic and Scottish banter – with friends and family very much at the heart. It was an incredibly fun day, ever so slightly windy (remember the recent summer wind storm?), and absolutely beautiful in every way.

Caroline & Patrick – We wish you all the happiness in the world! And we hope you enjoy your preview.
