Laura & Denholm – Carberry Tower, East Lothian

From the gamer-themed stationery to the bridal high-tops, Laura & Denholm’s wedding was packed full of fun, personal touches. Their wedding took place at a stately home in East Lothian, with beautiful sweeping grounds, and we loved being part of their big day.  Here are a few of our favourite photos…

Susan & Jamie – Bonshaw Tower & Smiths Hotel, Gretna Green, Dumfries & Galloway

We were so excited to be photographing our first wedding at the famous Gretna Green! With one of every six Scottish weddings taking place there, it’s one of the world’s most popular wedding destinations.  Susan & Jamie travelled up from England with their lovely family and friends, who made us feel very welcome and were great fun to be around. Their intimate ceremony took place at the incredibly romantic 16th century Bonshaw Tower. With its beautiful grounds and family home feel, it was the perfect setting for an absolutely beautiful day. We loved being part of the celebrations and wish Susan, Jamie and their lovely boys a lifetime of laughter and happiness.

Stacey & Sean – Dalhousie Castle, Edinburgh

Stacey & Sean travelled from the USA to be married at the magnificent Dalhousie Castle, just outside Edinburgh. It was a beautiful, intimate ceremony, with a great surprise for their guests when the rings were delivered by a barn owl, who took the attention and applause in his stride. The day was full of love and laughter, and we wish Stacey & Sean every happiness in the future.

The wedding was perfect, the bride was gorgeous, groom was handsome, and these pictures are wonderful! Food & cake were amazing. The castle was magical and made the wedding so exciting.

Fiona & Adrien – Greyfriar’s Kirk & Prestonfield House, Edinburgh

We  knew that Fiona & Adrien’s wedding would be very beautiful and full of fun and laughter, and we were hopeful that, if we were very lucky, we would get to see Adrien’s renowned dance moves.  And when the big day rolled around it was all that we had imagined, and more. From the soft colours and romantic flowers to the stunning lantern ceiling in the stables, it was a day packed with super pretty touches. Not to mention Fiona’s two very fabulous dresses, the fantastic multi-lingual speeches, a surprise flash mob dance and one of the most enthusiastic dancefloors we have seen on our wedding travels. What a wonderful way to start married life!

Sophie & Ross – Mansfield Traquair, Edinburgh

We love shooting weddings at Mansfield Traquair – not just because we live around the corner and can walk home (which admittedly is a bonus!), but because it is utterly beautiful, incredibly atmospheric and looks amazing with all the different colours and themes we’ve seen in there. Sophie & Ross’ wedding took place on one of those all-seasons, Scottish summer days – with blaring sun and heavy rain both making an appearance. It was a day full of style & romance, smiles & great banter, soft furry sporrans & some of the most impressive press-ups we’ve ever seen on a dancefloor! We loved being there to catch all the action, and wish Sophie & Ross a lifetime of love and adventure!
