We absolutely love photographing destination weddings – getting to see Scotland through the eyes of first-time visitors is a magical experience, and it makes us feel so lucky to live and work in this beautiful part of the world!

California-based Brittany and Miles wanted to share a place that stole their hearts – the historic town of St Andrews – with their family and friends, and were married in the breathtaking setting of St Salvator’s Chapel. The ceremony was all the more meaningful as it was conducted by Brittany’s great-uncle.

Then it was on to Glamis Castle in Angus, which is not only an incredibly romantic place but is rich in history. It’s also said to be the most haunted castle in Scotland, but while the mist was suitably atmospheric we didn’t spot any spooks! The day ended in fitting Fourth of July style, with a sparkler send off for the newlyweds.

Brittany & Miles – You were a joy to photograph and we absolutely loved getting to be part of your beautiful Scottish wedding. And getting to see you both again over the next few days of your family’s Scottish wedding festival was an added bonus too! We hope you enjoy your preview…
