Camping on Skye - Scottish landscape photography

We’re just back from a quick (and very wet) camping trip on Skye. This was our first visit to this beautiful island (disgraceful we know, but at least Jay has an excuse being Canadian – I don’t!). It was made all the better by the fact that we were joined by Jay’s little sister, Elyse, who has been visiting us for the past week before heading home to Ontario to start university.

Glencoe is always spectacular – we can’t get enough of it. In this photo Elyse & Jay are hiding the fact they are being attacked by midges from every direction rather well.

After driving through hours of rain showers we got really, really lucky. The skies were blue as we drove across the bridge and this was the view that awaited us…

Elyse and I ‘researched’ the local brewery while Jay did his landscape thing…

Despite waking up yesterday to grey skies and a very soggy campsite, it was a lovely end to a fantastic week.

Have a safe flight home Elyse, we miss you already!
